Navigating Grief Presentation
Sun, Nov 9th 10:30am - 11:30am
St. Catherine's Church 5101 W. Center St. Milwaukee, WI 53210

This time of year, Masses of Remembrance and All Souls Day remind us of the loved ones who have left us, perhaps through illness or death or from a soured relationship or a far-away move. At St. Catherine and St. Sebastian, we want to start a conversation around grief, to help determine if our joint communities could benefit from a grief ministry with regular outreach to our parishioners. Join us in this conversation on Sunday, November 9th, with Navigating Grief, a presentation and discussion for members of both parishes that will run from 10:30-11:30am, immediately following the 9am Mass at St. Catherine. Parishioner Gael Garbarino Cullen, author of Owning Grief. Widowed Young, How I Discovered Gifts in Loss, and her daughter Kathleen Cullen Ritter, MSW, and Grief Guide, will discuss tangible ways to find faith and hope in the face of great loss. At the end of the talk, we’ll seek your input and ideas as to how we can create a community of care at St. Sebastian and St. Catherine. Please join us! Coffee and refreshments will be served.
